About Me
My mission at Lucia De Fatima Arts is to create unique, and good quality jewellery, and beautiful and
uplifting art.
I create pieces made from natural earthy materials that carry on the ancient tradition of wearing jewelry for
healing, protection, and assistance in times of transition and transformation. I create art to uplift and
inspire.
This is why my motto is,
“Lucia De Fatima Arts,
for Body & Soul.”
My Journey
My creative journey began in 1988 with the launch of my first jewelry business, The Tima Collection. It was born out of necessity and a desire for hands-on creativity, which has always been both relaxing and rejuvenating for me. In 2024, I felt a strong calling to expand into painting and larger copper artwork, leading me to rebrand as Lucia De Fatima Arts, a name that better reflects my growth and vision.
Specializing in copper and semi-precious stone jewelry, I also incorporate diverse materials such as feathers, shells, silver, brass, wire, dried flowers, coins, beads, found objects, and image transfers. One of my earliest collections, True Magic, features 45 symbols representing positive qualities, showcasing years of experimentation and unique metal coloring techniques. Another beloved collection, Earth Magic, highlights the healing properties of semi-precious stones.
Influenced by mythology, world religions, cultures, and transpersonal psychology, my designs are celebrated for their distinctiveness and beauty. With hundreds of designs to choose from—ranging from $12 wire rings to $300 one-of-a-kind masterpieces—there’s something for every taste and budget.
Where to Find Me
You can experience my work at high-quality craft shows, music festivals, and consignment locations in Peterborough and Newmarket. From April to September, visit my pop-up shop in Toronto’s Art & Design District, announced on social media when the weather is favorable.
My workspace, Fatima In The Alley Music & Art Gallery, is nestled in a charming back alley. It doubles as my home, allowing me to support my elderly mother who lives nearby. This space hosts regular music and art events, bringing together community and creativity.
